The Beaufort scale shows wind force 12, which means that we’ve entered a dangerous area with extremely low pressure and low frequency squalls. In his title track STURMLIEBE (Storm Lover) German LNZ-Newcomer Sascha Ciccopiedi condenses an 808 driven atmosphere to a mysterious thunder rolling nightmare, chasing your soul for more than seven minutes. Reigning in his Olympus like godfather Zeus, Ciccopiedi sends out ominous basslines, windy bended synth tones and walls of pink noise down to all clublands on our planet earth. But, in contrast to normal life, when the gale comes up no clubber tends to scream “Every man for himself!” Instead he storms the dancefloor to be hit by the musical flashlight of Sascha Ciccopiedi. This must be true storm love! The AA track THE DRIVE offers a nearly similar bunch of ultra crispy sounds, but leads more into a refreshing, House percussive direction. See how former furious Zeus now lolls smiling on this throne, asking Apollon for sunrays to create a rainbow effect. With the release of this record LNZ gets more and more close to his philosophical core: Minimal sounding on the one hand, but still extremely body-activating on the other.
